Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands — Google Street View is finally available in Turks and Caicos, thanks to a partnership between Hon. E. Jay Saunders, former deputy premier of the Turks and Caicos, and World Travel in 360 (WTI 360). Street view is already available on the islands of Providenciales, North and Middle Caicos, Grand Turk, and parts of South Caicos, with Salt Cay soon to follow.

Speaking to the TCI Sun Newspaper, Hon. Saunders stated: “Over the last two months, I’ve been working furiously […] to capture the Turks and Caicos and put it on Google Street View. I truly believe this is going to be the most detailed country in the world in terms of what we put onto Street View, along with the 360-degree virtual tours of our cultural and heritage sites and our beaches.”

Included alongside Street View are 360-degree panoramas of many of the country's natural and historical attractions, such as the Grand Turk Lighthouse, Cheshire Hall Plantation, and West Harbour Bluff (part of the Frenchman's Creek and Pigeon Pond Nature Reserve).

Progress to map more than 600 miles (965 km) of road is well underway, and imagery is currently available for Google Maps users around the world.

Hon. Saunders expressed an intention that WTI 360 would return quarterly to keep imagery up to date. WTI 360 has been involved in several other country mapping projects, including the island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe in late 2022.

The Turks and Caicos Islands is a British Overseas Territory located between the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. Made up of eight major islands and over 100 named cays and rocks, the archipelago is a popular travel destination for tourists from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
