Beach and Water Sports Apparel
If you’re in search of beach apparel, Blue Surf Shop is the place to go. Here you can shop a variety of well-known brands that include Quicksilver, Billabong, Rip Curl, Roxy, Element, Dakine, Vissla, Oneill, Aqualung, Cressi, F-One, and the local TCI-inspired brand Konk.
Sunscreen and Accessories
When you live on an island, or you’re simply visiting, sunglasses are essentially a must to protect your eyes from the bright sun that shines 350 days out of the year in Turks and Caicos. If you’re in search of a new pair of sunglasses, Blue Surf Shop offers a range of polarized sunglasses by popular brands Oakley, Ray-Ban, Suncloud, and VonZipper.
Beyond the shop’s array of fashionable options to protect your eyes from the sun, you’ll find other island essentials that include reef-safe biodegradable sunscreen, reusable water bottles and cups, tumblers to keep your drinks cold, beach coolers, hats, backpacks, and a wide selection of sandals—essentially everything you’d need to prepare yourself for a day on the beach or on the water.
Tours and Excursions
With Blue Surf Shop’s affiliation with Big Blue Collective, you can also book various types of ocean excursions at the shop. Private charter experiences include adventures to either the north or south side of the island with full-day or half-day options available. Guests can also opt for private charter tours to the islands of North and Middle Caicos to spend the day exploring the agricultural capital of the Turks and Caicos. For a more leisurely experience, Big Blue Collective also offers sunset tours. You can inquire about or book your trip directly at the shop’s booking desk.
Big Blue Collective also offers snorkeling and scuba diving excursions. Snorkeling tours include the half-day snorkel eco-tour and a full-day tour at the edge of the banks. If you have no snorkeling experience, no problem—Big Blue Collective also offers a snorkeling program for those looking to gain some experience before booking a tour.
Never been scuba diving? Big Blue Collective is also a PADI training center offering a full range of courses. To get your PADI Open Water certificate (the most popular way to learn to dive), you must first sign up for eLearning at home and complete your coursework before your arrival in Turks and Caicos. From there, you’ll go straight into pool training followed by four open-water certification dives.
Big Blue Collective also offers the DSD (Discover Scuba Diving) experience, a PADI entry-level course that offers the opportunity to try a simple, supervised dive. But if you’re already dive certified, the company offers one, two, and three-tank dives. Excursions can take you anywhere from Grace Bay to French Cay, depending on which excursion you select.
If you’re not into snorkeling or diving, Big Blue Collective also offers paddleboarding and kayaking tours. Guests can choose from a two-hour experience in the mangrove channel in Leeward or opt for an adventurous six-hour backcountry paddle safari. Self-guided tours are also available.
Ever tried kiteboarding? You can also try your hand at the sport by booking a private instruction course with Big Blue Collective, or for experienced kiteboarders, you can opt for private kiteboarding adventures that include downwinders and kite safaris.
If you do decide to book an excursion at the shop, be sure you bring all essentials for a day in the sun, such as sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a water container—all of which you’ll conveniently find at Blue Surf Shop.
