Fast Track is a VIP concierge service for travelers arriving in the Turks and Caicos Islands by plane. With Fast Track service, an agent will greet you upon entrance at the Providenciales International Airport (PLS), guide you through expedited immigration and customs processing lanes, and assist with luggage, reducing your wait time when arriving in the Turks and Caicos.

A similar service is offered for guests leaving the Turks and Caicos, with a representative meeting travelers curbside at the airport prior to check-in.

All scheduled international flights to the Turks and Caicos land at the Providenciales International Airport, so Fast Track is not available nor necessary at other airports in the country.

Airport Wait Times

The Providenciales International Airport can have significant and stifling queues at immigration, check-in, and security during peak travel times due to the airport’s insufficient facilities and size. A Fast Track service can significantly reduce your wait.

A few companies located on Providenciales have arrangements with the airport to provide the expedited concierge service through immigration and customs. An even greater number of international booking companies resell the service, under names such as Fast Pass, Fast Track, and Sky Pass, through their respective and varying websites. All sell essentially the same service, which is provided on the ground by the Providenciales concierge companies.

Fast Track can typically get you out of the airport in 15–20 minutes after your flight lands, with baggage offloading from the aircraft usually being the holdup.

Services

As well as express arrival and departure services, you can reserve VIP ground transportation through the local Fast Track companies. The vehicles are typically luxury SUVs, such as the Chevrolet Suburban and Cadillac Escalade, that can accommodate up to six passengers. Prices are per vehicle and not per passenger, with a one-way transfer starting at $135.

Do I Need Fast Track?

Queue at the Providenciales International Airport

Whether Fast Track is worth it for your trip depends on a few factors.

The greatest consideration is your arrival and departure times. Time of year, day of the week, and flight time makes a big difference in the queues for immigration, check-in, and security.

The Turks and Caicos experiences a high tourism season from late December to April, and the peak weekends can have lines more than two hours long. These excessive wait times are not the norm, but occur when several flights arrive in a short period of time.

Day of the week can also influence lines, with the weekend and Friday being the busiest travel days in the Turks and Caicos. Midday and late afternoon also tend to have more flights arriving.

If you’re arriving on a weekday outside of the high season, the normal processing time at immigration isn’t very long, so you likely won't need to book a Fast Track service.

Currently, the Providenciales International Airport is exploring redevelopment, though renovation efforts likely won't come to fruition until 2030. The Turks and Caicos has become one of the top destinations in the Caribbean and the Providenciales airport, although expanded in 2015, has simply been outgrown.

Fast Track Reservations

Booking a Fast Track service is easy. Simply contact one of the Fast Track providers with your flight information and reserve the time. Online booking and payment is typically possible.

Luxury VIP Transport

The local Fast Track companies typically offer VIP transport as a stand-alone or add-on service. Booking a luxury airport transfer can further reduce your travel time and make your trip more comfortable, especially if you're planning to take a taxi to your resort or villa.

Taxis on Providenciales tend to operate a little differently than what’s common globally, as they typically offer shared airport rides in a shuttle and charge per person (see pricing scheme on Turks and Caicos Taxis).

Taxis in the Turks and Caicos are typically large passenger vans, and during busy arrival times, it’s common for them to take several groups of travelers and make multiple stops on their way to your resort or villa. Sometimes, there’s an additional 10–15 minute wait while the taxi collects more passengers at the airport.

Luxury transport is pre-scheduled, often very punctual, and private.
