Sweet T's
Parade Avenue, Downtown, ProvidencialesFound near the Airport Roundabout in Downtown Providenciales, Sweet T’s has been one of the island’s most popular fried chicken take-out joints for almost twenty years. The shop’s pink and white color scheme is hard to miss.
Along with the low price, one of Sweet T’s attractions is their proprietary hot sauce batter, which has a delicious yet very slight kick to it, and is a creation of the establishment’s proprietor Keith Higgs.
As Sweet T’s is in the Downtown area, it’s a little out of the way from the central tourism districts of Grace Bay, Leeward, Long Bay, and Turtle Cove. If you’re planning to visit the scenic Chalk Sound National Park, Sapodilla Bay Beach, or Taylor Bay Beach, you’ll travel near this establishment, and it may make sense to visit at the time. Look for the small pink building adjacent to the Rubis gas station.
The Menu
Sweet T’s offers a simple selection of crispy fried chicken wings, plain fries, and seasoned fries.
The ordering system is unique yet simple: state the quantity of food you’d like in dollar increments. For example, an ample meal for one would be an order of “$3 chicken, $2 fries”.
There’s a decent selection of cold soft drinks to choose from as well, with prices at $1 per can.
Hours of Operation
There are no scheduled hours, yet Sweet T’s is usually open from morning to 10:00 PM, every day of the week.
As may be expected, Sweet T’s can be quite busy during lunch hour, with a 10–15 minute wait.
Located in Downtown
Downtown is located in central Providenciales and close to the airport. Many government offices, the post office, a number of small restaurants and shops, a sports center, and a supermarket are located in this region. The largely residential Kew Town is adjacent to the northwest.
