The Tides has accommodation options for a range of visitors. The Pool View Suite is ideal for couples, however, this 830 square foot (77 sq m), one-bedroom suite can accommodate up to four guests. Situated adjacent to the pool, the suite has a private balcony, king-sized bed, and queen-sized sofa bed. The two-bedroom pool-view suites are great for families and can easily accommodate up to six guests. However, if you’re looking for a roomier stay, then consider reserving the penthouse suite, which advantageously also offers breathtaking views of Grace Bay Beach. All suites are equipped with an en-suite bathroom, bathroom toiletries, living room, television, fully equipped kitchen, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The aesthetic is uncomplicated, light, and fresh, and large sliding doors welcome in the fresh ocean breeze.
A complimentary continental breakfast is provided daily to ensure a nourishing start to your day, and then the world is your oyster. Choose to spend the day soaking up some rays at the pool or reading under a poolside pergola. Alternatively, grab a fresh towel and head to the beach for a swim or snorkel.
The location of The Tides ensures an authentic and relaxing stay, but in an intimate setting; and its convenient location means that should you prefer to leave driving on the ‘wrong’ side of the road to the professionals, you can still navigate the heart of Provo on foot or bicycle. A variety of top-notch bars, coffee shops, and restaurants are a 10-minute walk from The Tides, as one heads toward the Saltmills Plaza and the Regent Village. Here, one can find the perfect souvenir to take home, including some fantastic photographic prints from Brilliant Studios Fine Art Gallery. Just next door to the gallery is local dog rescue charity Potcake Place, where visitors can help socialize a potcake puppy by taking it out for a beach walk in the morning. The pups here are also up for adoption, if you’re interested in taking one home with you for the ultimate Turks and Caicos souvenir that doubles as a family companion.
There are also a number of restaurants to choose from in the area, whether you’re craving burgers, sushi, casual sandwiches, or something vegetarian. There’s something on the Grace Bay strip for everyone.
Activities and Attractions
For the adventurous traveler, Grace Bay offers many activities to get the blood going, including parasailing that offers a virtual 360-degree view of Providenciales. Non-motorized water sports are a wonderful way to explore the shores of Provo and often make for a more intimate encounter with marine wildlife, including sea turtles. If you’re especially lucky, you may also catch a glimpse of Grace Bay’s resident dolphin, JoJo the Dolphin.
Getting to The Tides
Getting to The Tides is straightforward enough, as all international flights to the Turks and Caicos fly into Providenciales, namely Providenciales International Airport (PLS). The resort does not provide transport from the airport, however, car rental and taxi services are easy to come by when exiting the airport.
