As a luxury tourism destination, the Turks and Caicos offers a great selection of services that cater to personal well-being, including spas, massage therapists, yoga and Pilates studios, gyms and fitness classes, chiropractors, physiotherapists, and salons.

The island of Providenciales is home to much of the tourism development in the country, and consequently most of the upscale travel amenities and large resorts. The vast majority of health and well-being practices in the Turks and Caicos are located on Providenciales.

Spas and Massage Therapists

There’s a great selection of spas in the Turks and Caicos offering a range of beauty and wellness services. Several small boutique studios are located on Providenciales, and many of the luxury resorts have their own onsite facilities as well. A few of the larger all-inclusive resorts also feature their own branded international wellness lines, such as Sandals’ Beaches Turks & Caicos Red Lane Spa and COMO Parrot Cay Resort’s Shambhala Retreat.

Prices at spas in the Turks and Caicos are usually higher than what you would pay back home. This is especially true for spas at the luxury resorts. While the spa menu varies by business, most spas offer manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages. Some spas also offer treatments like reflexology and body scrubs.

Spa Tropique, which has several locations on Providenciales, is a popular local spa and has been operating for over 20 years. The spa offers a full menu, from massages to facials, manicures, waxing, and other beauty treatments. Spa Tropique also has a mobile spa that can visit your hotel or villa.

A great benefit of exercising in the Turks and Caicos Islands is working out outdoors year-round. The islands boast great weather and an incredible and tranquil environment. Numerous accommodations have oceanfront areas, such as beach decks and rooftops, that can host workout classes. Beach yoga and fitness sessions are fairly common on Providenciales.

Many of the water sports that are popular in the Turks and Caicos are great exercise. Stand-up paddleboarding is one of the more popular choices, yet kayaking, open water swimming, and even snorkeling can provide a good workout as well.

Throughout the year, fitness events including runs, sailing events, and water sports competitions are held in the islands. One of the biggest events is Race for the Conch, an annual open water swim competition held off of Grace Bay Beach.

Sports and fitness instructors in the Turks and Caicos generally have certifications from internationally recognized organizing bodies, especially in the case of water sports such as freediving, kiteboarding, scuba diving, and swimming.

Indoors, you can find a range of exercise, cardio, and wellness classes, such as yoga, Pilates, spinning, stretching, kickboxing, body conditioning, and more.

Some luxury accommodations, such as the upscale Beach Enclave villa collection, include complimentary yoga and wellness sessions for guests.

Fitness Centers and Gyms

Providenciales has several fitness centers and gyms, the largest of which is the Graceway Sports Center. It features a full gym and both indoor and outdoor facilities equipped for tennis, pickleball, basketball, squash, roller hockey, and badminton.

Most resorts have their own small fitness center with weights and exercise machines.

Although largely geared towards locals, bootcamps are a popular fitness activity on Providenciales that offer high-intensity circuits and training designed to help clients lose weight and gain muscle fast.

You can also find CrossFit workouts on Providenciales at IronShore CrossFit, located off Leeward Highway near Scotiabank.
