Golden hour at a waterfront fine dining restaurant on Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.
Golden hour at Lua.

Lua is a gourmet fine dining restaurant located in the exclusive South Bank Resort on Long Bay. The restaurant and bar stands out for its cozy atmosphere, top-notch service, gourmet menu—which marries a diverse collection of international cuisines from Mediterranean to Asian—and its dreamy location at the beach of the private South Bank lagoon.

At Lua, you’ll find a spacious upscale dining area that includes waterfront seating, comfortable booths in an elevated interior, and a cocktail space where you can enjoy small bites and drinks or sumptuous entrées. There are cozy fire tables for relaxing with a glass of wine after your meal, romantic macramé hammocks overlooking the lagoon with a sunset outlook, and an open-concept stone bar great for enjoying signature cocktails with friends old and new.

Lua is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and caters to larger parties. Reservations are recommended.

Breakfast

Whether you’re hungry for a heartier morning meal of eggs Benedict or a refreshing açaí bowl, Lua’s breakfast menu offers a breadth of dishes that cater to various tastes. You can order avocado toast, a free-range organic omelet, or a bakery basket of treats such as croissant and pain au chocolat, among other options. Alternatively, you can opt for a smoothie or fruit plate if you want something light.

Breakfast at Lua comes with a great view. The daytime hours paint the turquoise lagoon fronting the restaurant a beautiful teal hue that makes for great Instagram photos.

Once you've finished breakfast, Lua is an excellent launching point for exploring nearby Long Bay Beach, a popular coast for kiteboarding, e-foiling, and horseback riding on the beach. Several boat charter and tour companies depart the adjacent South Bank Marina.

Lunch

Like breakfast and dinner, lunch at Lua is al fresco. The spacious dining area allows you to take advantage of the island breeze that keeps Providenciales a wonderful temperature year-round.

Lua boasts an expansive lunch menu that includes fresh seafood dishes, gourmet salads, and the classic burgers and sandwiches (with a sophisticated twist).

The Wagyu burger, the Alaskan crab roll, and the salmon teriyaki bowl are popular lunch entrées. For a lighter lunch, you can opt for the burrata salad or red snapper ceviche. You’ll also find a fair number of gluten-free and vegetarian dishes on Lua’s lunch menu, including a plant-based beyond burger.

Dinner

Dinner is the restaurant’s main event, when it offers both succulent meals from its wood-fired charcoal grill and a set of signature dishes that combine flavors from Morocco, India, and beyond. Dinner entrées include the lamb tagine, blue fin tuna, and the tandoori-dusted celeriac tataki (a great option for gluten-free and vegetarian diners).

Pizza is also on the table. Lua’s brick oven prepares fabulous wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas with a range of classic and inventive toppings.

The ambiance is particularly nice at Lua for a dinner date (or even a proposal). Rattan light shades and twinkling string lights give the space a romantic and dreamy vibe.

Given that Lua is a popular dinner spot, it’s best to make a reservation.

Wines and Cocktails

There’s an extensive drink list on offer at Lua, from wines (red, white, rosé, or sparkling) of various origins to hand-crafted cocktails and a broad reserve of spirits. The cocktails that the bartenders prepare encompass both trendy and classic drinks, from the espresso martini and Aperol spritz to the timeless Manhattan.

If you’re keen to try new flavors, order one of Lua’s specialty drinks. The Wild Kiss (made with pisco, lime, pineapple, egg white, and spiced pomegranate) is particularly refreshing.

Lua's bar also prepares mocktails and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks.
